  • Required:  AASW Membership (with insurance), Employment checks, Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle 

  • Salary:       $60,000 to $90,000 (superannuation inclusive) PLUS travel allowance 

New England Behaviour Support (NEBS) is highly regarded Social Work private practice, based in Tamworth NSW providing social and emotional development to children, teens and adults both in clinic and mobile based around the Tamworth area.

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

As a NEBS Social Worker, you will be required to assess, and provide therapy related to social and emotional development together with treatment notes, applications for support and Therapy reports within allocated timeframes.  

You will work with people who have a variety of disabilities including Autism, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance, Anxiety and plenty more, focusing on neuroaffirming supports.  

You will be required to work independently and also as part of a team to ensure positive client outcomes.  Our Therapy Assistant is there to make your day proficiently easier and will support you to prepare for your therapy sessions, prepare therapeutic resources, and pack away so you can focus on therapy.   

Being a clinic and mobile service, you will be required to see clients in our therapy clinic and also travel to client's homes, schools and day programs around Tamworth and its surrounds and will typically see between four to five clients per day.  

A paid two week on-boarding/training process will be provided, where you will spend time with the Practice Manager learning about the business and it's systems, and with the team to attend joint appointments.  A comprehensive Induction Package is provided to make your first few weeks as smooth as possible.  

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant degree in Social Work

  • Registration with the Australian Association of Social Worker (AASW) and accompanying Indemnity Insurance

  • Working with Children Check 

  • Satisfactory Police Check 

  • Current Drivers Licence 

  • Reliable and insured vehicle
